A month in pictures - May

May has been a lovely month indeed. Hubby and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary this month. We've actually been together for over 15 years, but celebrating our anniversary is still one of my favourite fings. I kept a diary in the lead up to our wedding so I would remember all the lovely little things that happened along the way ... so we read a little every night over our anniversary week! it was lovely reliving that journey. We had a lovely break in Shropshire at The Dipping shed! Unfortunately it's back to the grindstone this week. Boo! Here's this month in pictures ....

Ahh our lovely week at The Dipping Shed. The Dipping Shed at Walcot Hall is a quirky rustic lodge situated in the Shropshire Hills, and is unlike any holiday cottage we've visited before. We found it via Canopy and Stars. We actually visited two cottages on this trip, the second one I'll be sharing soon. Here is a glimpse into Our holiday at The Dipping Shed

Once back home I found the garden to be in full bloom; Clematis, Aquilegia and the Ceanothus tree were buzzing with life. I've been potting and planting all my broad beans, tomatoes, courgettes and nasturtiums, so once the spring flowers fade the garden it will transform into something else again. I love the change it brings, but I'll miss the pastel shades of spring.

My walks with Ralphy took us though daisy and buttercup-covered fields this month, and the cow parsley has gone WILD! I don't remember it being tall last spring, do you?

Hubby's been away this week too, so I used it as an opportunity to have a spring clean! I put away the winter clothes and vac packed everything. Ooh I do love a good vac pac don't you? feels good sucking the life out of everything and making everything teeny tiny. Shame we can't use it on legs, bums and tums eh? :-)

    1. Ooh yes! lucky indeed :-) enjoyed your last post, can't WAIT to read your book! I can sympathise with the agony of letting something go like that ... I'm the same with songs, if it's not removed from my presence there will always be more that can be added! x

  3. Hi!
I just stumbled upon your enchanting blog! I'm sitting here with my cup of tea and having a grand time reading your posts. I'm a bit older (ok, a lot older - 53), but I think we have much in common. Wish I was half so clever as you, especially at such a young age!

    1. Hi Laurie, Ah bless you, what a lovely message. I'm so glad you've enjoyed reading the blog over a cuppa. I've just been enjoying your lovely blog too! I think you're right, we do have a lot in common! You're doggies are gorgeous and I love the pretty white cotton camisoles too :-) I have a couple of similar ones that are antique, but I'm always scared of wearing them as I'm so clumsy I don't want to tear them! Lovely to meet you Laurie and I look Looking forward to following your blog x
